I am sad to hear about the passing of talented and sexy actor Paul Newman. I loved him in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," "The Hustler," "The Long, Hot Summer," and "The Towering Inferno."
I'm jet-lagged and still sorting through all the photos from the Barcelona catwalks....but here are two shots of the fantastic video backdrops created by artist Bjorn Tagemose. The Ingmar Bergman-esque one above is from a show inspired by Galician widows, below is the video of a German power plant (it went well with the Lydia Lunch song on the soundtrack). Will post images of the clothes from the runway on aShadedViewonFashion.com tomorrow.
Just got off a grueling 10-hr flight from Athens after attending Fashion Forward in lovely Thessaloniki and 080 Barcelona Fashion in Catalonia (I won't say Spain because I support the seperatists). Changing planes at all those airports made me feel a bit grumpy, just like my favorite actress (see above).
Sorry I haven't updated the blog in awhile, have been busy. Just got back from a wonderful day and night in the Fire Island Pines and am off to Spain in one hour to attend 080 Barcelona Fashion Week and then Greece for Fashion Forward in Thessaloniki. After that, it's Capital Fashion Week in Brasilia, Brazil and then some downtime in Rio with the sexy Brazilian guy I am dating. Will report here and on A Shaded View on Fashion after September 25.
