Dear Readers,
I'm back from Brazil after six action-packed days at Fashion Rio (and one long beach break day--it's summer there now) and still feeling a little overwhelmed and energized. This was one of the most lavish fashion weeks I've ever attended and I couldn't have chosen a better escape from NY's coldest week of the winter and the monotonous news of global economic woes (the only online news breaks we took in the ABIT champagne lounge was a brave peak at those Donatella swimsuit photos and a few giddy posts on our FaceBook walls). My full reports from the week (A fashion show deep in the jungle! Decadent parties! Exploding air conditioners! Plastic poncho madness!) will be posted to Diane's blog in a few days (ashadedviewonfashion.com), so stay tuned lovers.
Later,
Glenn

Me relaxing in the CHIC lounge between shows, having my one glass of champagne of the day. (I normally don't touch the stuff, but it's doctor's orders).
Sugarloaf Mountain viewed from Marina da Gloria, where the shows took place.
